259, 258, 257, 256, 255, 254, 253 more days to go...
Can you believe it's June?! And it's HOT...so hot. This probably wasn't the best week to take off from work to work on the house, but oh well. Nick and I stayed home all week to knock down a wall, redo our bathroom, finish our bedroom, plant a veggie garden, reupholster furniture, and etc which then led to rewiring all the electricity, redirecting our pipes, flooding our basement, ripping off our banisters, breathing in some nasty 80 year old poisonous dust, and having a hysterical exhaustive meltdown (really, we just slept for like 15 hours on Saturday). I wore the same outfit every single day last week , at least until the weekend. I didn't have a tee shirt that I wanted to ruin with paint so I just wore Nick's white undershirt and some running shorts. Needless to say, by Friday, that shirt was no longer white (gross). There is something to be said about having to put on the same outfit everyday...like wearing a school uniform...no thinking, no choices, no time wasted..it's nice having repeat outfit:)
Saturday and Sunday, I finally cleaned up and put on real people clothes. A halter dress and a linen trapeze dress was all I could manage to put on. It is seriously hot out there. It is official, I like bitter cold winter more than sweaty hot summer. You can only get so naked, it's not like you can peel off your skin. So the moral of this story is that I always seem to want what I can't have.
Have a good week!
