6 more days to go!
Oh, snap. It's effing cold again. I thought Puxatawny (is that how you spell his name?) didn't see his shadow. Isn't that suppose to mean instant warmth? The thing I learned most during this experience is how much weather influences what I wear. I thought I could be one of those girls who can get up every morning and put on heels and a nice dress and do my hair and makeup and throw on accessories and walk around the city all day in stilettos, but that's a lot to ask for. I see that girl every morning at the train station and she's absolutely gorgeous and so well put together but I don't know how she does it. When it's hot out, I can't even stand putting on a bra. And when it's cold, I can barely change out of my pj's. Plus, I'm not a makeup girl and the only jewelry I ever wear are the ones that I never take off. As much as I adore shoes, I can't stand the thought of them trekking through salted sidewalks or through dirty Philly puddles.
So this morning, the wind was going a bit crazy...there's obviously no point in doing my hair. And the only thing that keeps me warm is lots of layers. So it was lots of layers and jeans. I saw 'that girl' again at the train station this morning. She was wearing, I kid you not, 5 inch strappy sandals and a knee length silk dress, makeup flawless, hair perfection. I was cold just staring at her. Did I say staring? I meant glancing, that sounds way less creepy. I'll admit that I'm just a little jealous:)
